·Born as the eldest for one of the four Great Houses of Hinomoto, it was expected that Yoruichi would become clan head once she came of age.

· Upon coming of age, Yoruichi both learned her clans specialty - shape-shifting into feline forms and did as all clan head's do and underwent the Rite of Tranquility. Unlike templars or the lesser Houses, however, the Great Houses have their tranquility broken by the merging of a Valor spirit rather than a Command one.

· Yoruichi, however, has ever been strong-will and ill-suited to the tedium of tradition and ceremony - before her coming of age, she created countless scandals by slipping away from the Clan grounds to run the streets of Hinomoto with a street kind named Takasugi. This continued on into young adulthood - until a senior member of the branch house framed her for the murder of her parents and threatened the life of her younger brother.

· Without proof or alies, Yoruichi decided to take a tactical withdrawl and fled the island to protect her brother, set herself to wander the Antivan and Rivaini coastlines.

· Yoruichi spent some few years traveling with Takasugi as well, until she met a Rivaini pirate that offered her an alternative. She'd started as the first mate and then eventually had a couple of ships of her own. Under the guidance of her Valor spirit, the focus of her raids tends to be against slavers trying to bring their 'cargo' up north and those merchants that used excessive or exploitative practices and with the world's current state... business for her is good.
